Wellesley - Election Night Party in Burlington

Vermont Wellesley Club

Dear [first_name],

Election Day is almost upon us - and no matter what your political view, we celebrate that one of our own is running for office and that this historic election is a major milestone for American women. Younger people (boys and girls alike) now have a visual and mental map that affirms - a woman can work at the highest levels of American politics!

I've heard several Vermont Wellesley women say "what are you doing for election night?" -- I only know of one who plans to go to campus for the celebration there, but I'd love to hear from you if you're going!  Are any of you hosting parties to watch the returns on election night? Jessica Blackman, Vice President of the club, has also opened up her home for a "watch party" in Burlington open to any Wellesley alum and any family members in her entourage.  For details of location and time and to RSVP please click through to this evite:

In other news, I recently attended Alumnae Leadership Council - which always inspires and gives me ideas about events for the club.  The board (Jessica Blackman - VP, Lisa Brucken - Secretary, Sara Simon - Alumnae Admissions Rep, Kelly McCutcheon Adams - Treasurer, and I) will be meeting this weekend and mapping out some events for the remainder of the winter and spring, so we'll be in touch again soon with more invitations and opportunities to connect!
