From the President...
Greetings Vermont alumnae,
I am so glad you have found our club!
I'm Annie Crawford '00 and am the club's current president. I grew up here in Vermont and returned after college, happily setting roots in Chittenden County (including Holly Crawford '62, my mother). I now work as Director of Operations at Vermont Works for Women, a nonprofit based in Winooski and Barre helping women to achieve economic independence.
Ever since graduation, I've enjoyed participating in countless club events: from cleaning the Burlington bike path in the early aughts, to annual meetings, to hiking Camels Hump, to annual ski outtings co-led with Elizabeth Basset '72, to talks over tea and beer (separately, of course). This group can be counted on for fabulous, thought-provoking conversations. The Vermont Wellesley Club is a wonderful way to meet some new people with a shared intellectual curiosity and stories about their own Wellesley years. We try to organize events that will be accessible by alums in different geographical areas and are more than happy to help you coordinate something should you want something more local. Anything from beach days to talks to book swaps to cross country skiing will surely attract some of your fellow alums!
I hope to see you at our next event and please, email or call at any time to say hello or to brainstorm ideas for something that interests you. Also be sure to join our Facebook group (Vermont Wellesley Club) for more information about what we are up to.
Stay in touch,
Annie Crawford '00
